Bombay Sapphire is passionate about producing the finest gin possible. While ordinary gins boil their botanicals directly in the spirit to achieve their flavor, the taste of Bombay Sapphire is created through the Vapor Infusion process.
The 10 precious botanicals (almond, lemon peel, liquorice, juniper berries, orris root, angelica, coriander, cassia, cubeb, and grains of paradise) used in the gin are held separate from the spirit in perforated copper baskets, and when the heated vapors rise, the distinctive flavor of the botanicals are released. The result is a complex aromatic liquid that delivers a broader, more balanced flavor.
The Sapphire Raspberry Collins will be featured at local promotions leading up to the festival.
Bombay Sapphire Raspberry Collins
1 1/2 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin
1/2 oz fresh lemon
1/2 oz simple syrup
5 fresh raspberries, muddled
3 oz club soda
Shake all ingredients except club soda and pour into an ice-filled highball glass, top with club soda and garnish with a fresh raspberry and lemon wedge
